Techout is a way to talk about technology, while nowhere near it. On certain sunny Sundays, people get together at an outdoor location in SF to have an informal chat.

By removing ourselves from our normal surroundings of phones and laptops and cameras and roombas, it becomes easier to talk about them and the ways in which they affect us.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Sign up below, and you'll receive an email the Wednesday before a Techout, providing you the topic as well as a map to print out, which will lead you to the talk.   Friends are encouraged. So is food.

The only rule is that any technology that connects you to the outside world is prohibited (watches are OK).

Talks are loosely structured and typically end when the fog rolls in.
